Guthrie Board of Education Appoints Ron Plagg To Fill Vacancy
In special session on Wednesday morning, the Guthrie Board of Education appointed Ron
Plagg to fill the vacancy of Ward #2. That vacancy was created when former board member
Terry Pennington resigned on September 10, 2018. Since Pennington served less than half of his term, an election is required to fill the remainder of
the term which runs through 2021. Plagg will serve until the election and may file to retain the
seat for the remainder of the term. The filing period for the seat is in early December with an
election in April. If more than two candidates file, an election would occur in February, with a
run-off in April.
