GPS Begins the Year With a Smooth Start
With the start of school this morning, the entire central office administrative team performed their customary tour of all buildings.
According to Dr. Mike Simpson, Superintendent of Schools, “This may have been the smoothest start to school that we’ve had in my five years with the district. We had very few buses running late. Their tardiness was undoubtedly caused by the high volume of parents who take their child to the first day of classes as well as the traditional Senior parade. I want to applaud the GPS Transportation Department on their upfront work to provide such a smooth start. This morning, I watched highly engaged students and teachers that are excited for the new year.”
