DISCIPLINE PLAN
Dear Cotteral Parents,
I believe all my students can behave appropriately in my classroom when they know what is expected from them. I will tolerate no student stopping me from teaching and/or keeping other students from learning. In order to guarantee your child and all the students in my classroom the excellent learning climate they deserve, I am utilizing the following rules and discipline plan.
Our Classroom Rules are:
Be a good listener.
Be SAFE and KIND.
Take care of yourself and do your BEST.
Take care of materials and our school.
After we have discussed the rules, practiced them, and I’m confident the students know what I expect, the following consequences will be enforced. Consequences may include but are not limited to:
* Removal from the situation (head down or time out/thinking time)
* Loss of a privilege
* Break it, fix it
* Call or note home
* Meeting with the principal
A severe disruption or infraction would include a team meeting with the teacher, parents, student and principal. See the District Elementary Handbook (Section H) for additional discipline information.
