Websites Worth Taking a Peek!!

www.newsela.com  -  This is a news site with tons of nonfiction, current event type articles.  You have to sign up but it is free.  Once you are signed in and click on an article, you can change the Lexile reading range for the article!!!  This means you could have every student in your classroom reading the same thing, but you could print/show the article on different reading levels for differentiated instruction!!!!

www.engageny.org – This website is created and maintained by New York State Dept. of Education.  It is Common Core Reading and Math and has lesson plans.  I have just glanced at this site but have been told it is really good.

www.insidemathematics.org – This is the website that Karen was talking about at PLC.  It has great examples of math problems in Common Core.

www.columbia.k12.mo.us/fie/jgerhart/MAP.html - This is the website that Misty lucked onto.  Lots of practice tests from many states.  Great!!!

www.englishforeveryone.org/Topics/Same-Sound.htm - This is the website from Gail.  Lots and Lots of topics and lessons to go with them.

This is a link to my SpellingCity homepage.  You should be able to click the link and go straight to the page that has all of our spelling lists on it for the year.  Remember to select the title for the current week. (This is at the top of your weekly spelling list.)
