A little bit about me...
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! This year will be my fourteenth year teaching, all fourteen here in Guthrie and all fourteen in first grade! I spent my first 12 years at Central Elementary while Guthrie was grade centered, which was great; however, I loved starting a new chapter at Fogarty last year with the move to neighborhood schools! Fogarty has become an amazing new home and I have truly enjoyed getting to know the upcoming kindergartners in the building before they head to first as well as getting to see last year's first graders just down the hall now that they have moved up to second grade!
I began my journey in the education field by earning my degree in Early Childhood Education at Oklahoma Christian University. I love working with this age group of kids, they are so full of energy and are like little sponges soaking up (almost) every word I say! :)
I am married to my husband Clark and we have two children of our own Wyatt, who is 11 and in 5th grade and Easton, who is 6 and in kindergarten. We have 3 dogs who are also like my kids: Wrigley, Lexi, and Jet! We are definitely dog lovers! We love our country life with our 2 horses, donkey, cows, and cats as well! :)
