I love to read and I hope to help your student fall in love with reading this year, too! I teach students how to pick out books, take care of them and share them with others. We do many other things in library, too - like art, stem and computer programming.

My undergraduate degree was a BFA in Art, specializing in visual communications (graphic design), so sometimes we do art and creative projects in library. I have a Masters of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) and taught college webmaster technology, so in December, we usually participate in the Hour of Code and learn basic coding.  I earned my Library Media Specialization from Northeastern Oklahoma University (May 2020). I also completed a STEM in the Library course from the University of West Georgia. I was the librarian at GUES for 4 years and I have loved working with Cotteral students since fall 2022. 

My husband and I have lived in Guthrie since 2018 and our son is a sophomore at Guthrie High School. He loves to read as well and has loved audiobooks for a while now. We are trying to visit all 50 states and have visited 36 so far!
