I was born and raised in Arkansas City, KS. I have 4 siblings, and I am the middle child. I grew up playing sports, which led to my love of sports. I later went on to play baseball at Arkansas City High School, then I played Collegiate baseball at Cowley County Community College. After Cowley I went to College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri where I got my degree. This is currently my 3rd year of teaching.

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference in kids lives. When I was in second grade, I had this teacher (Miss Allen). To this day, she is the reason why I originally wanted to be a teacher. When I look back and see how she loved each and every one of her kids, it makes me want to be a better teacher with each passing day. When I say that she loved her kids, it didn't mean she let them get away with whatever they wanted. It meant that she had rules and regulations for her class to follow, and those that broke them were punished. However, while some people thought she was too mean, I look back and all I see is her grooming her kids to have respect for society and their elders. So with her influence, I became a teacher to guide a new generation to make those same positive life choices, and maybe one will remember my influence and carry on the tradition.
