GPS Offers Free After-School Tutoring for Native American Students
GPS offers free after-school tutoring for all Native American and Alaska Native students with a Title VI ED 506 Indian Student Eligibility Certification Form on file. Tutoring takes place Monday through Thursday at 3:30 pm-4:30 pm providing small group instruction to support academic areas of need or reinforcement. During tutoring, your child will have access to technology to assist in meeting their individual needs. The parent/guardian will need to make arrangements to pick up their child after tutoring ends at 4:30. A time form will be sent home each month listing the dates, times, and activities your child participated in during tutoring sessions. The form will need your signature and to be returned promptly to the tutor. If you do not have a 506 Form on file, please click on the link to complete one. In addition, you will need to fill out the Parent Referral Form. It can be found by clicking on the link. Print, complete and return these forms to your child's school office or homeroom teacher.
