My name is Savahanna Rennick and this is my sixth year teaching. I am originally from a small farming community in Northern California, called Williams. My hometown is about an hour north of Sacramento. My family farms rice, raises club lambs, and is now in the walnut business. Growing up, I was involved in 4-H and FFA and knew I wanted to pursue something in the agricultural industry as a career. After high school, I went to a junior college and obtained an Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies. After graduating, I transferred to California State University, Chico and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business, with a minor in Agriculture. After receiving my degree, I went to work full time for a walnut business in Chico, California and got a lot of industry experience, as well as the opportunity to work with customers around the world. After working in the industry for a few years, I decided that I wanted to go back to school to pursue a Masters Degree and get my teaching credential. I am excited to be back in Guthrie for another year, and look forward to welcoming students into my Ag 1, 8th Grade Ag Explorations, and Agricultural Communications classes. I will also be responsible for the sheep and goat projects this year. Showing lambs has always been one of my biggest passions, so I am happy to have the opportunity to work with the students and their livestock. I also love sports, music, and snow skiing. Go BlueJays!
