Welcome!!
We are so excited to have your child at Central this year. We have a wonderful staff who is eager to help your child grow and learn. We hope to build strong family relationships. mentoring programs between our older and younger students, and creating a culture that make kids feel safe and loved. We practice the Responsive Classroom approach at Central (as do the other elementary schools) and through this process we will be building a strong community with your child being a key part of that.
Here is a little bit about myself......I was born in raised in Mulhall and attended Mulhall-Orlando schools through graduation. I have a bachelors degree in Family Relations and Child Development from OSU, a masters degree in Reading from UCO, and a masters in Educational Leadership from NWOSU. This is my 21st year to be a Bluejay and I have had the privilege to have taught at all of the elementary schools. We have a wonderful school system and I am proud to be a part of it!
I have a wonderful husband named Kenton, and together we have 3 fabulous kids. Chelsey is 26 and is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Josie is 24 and works in an accounting office, and Reid is 15 and a Sophomore at GHS.........our house is always full of excitement! We live outside of Guthrie and love spending time outdoors, fishing, watching movies, attending Reid's sporting events, and going on cruises. I love reading in my spare time and taking care of my chickens.
