My name is Greg Salgado and I am a transplant from Cambridge, Massachusetts, whose excited to be teaching Spanish at Guthrie High School. I have been teaching Spanish for over ten years. I have a Bachelor's of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a double major in Classical Studies and Spanish with a concentration in literature. I also have a Master's in Education from U. Mass Boston as well. In addition to majoring in Spanish, I have studied abroad in Antigua, Guatemala, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Cuernavaca, Mexico, Lima, Peru, Madrid, Spain, and Montevideo, Uruguay.

I grew up speaking Italian as a child, and learned Spanish in high school and college. I also studied, Latin and French. My hobbies include traveling both domestic and international, reading, and I have a large extensive collection of Cowboy Boots. Which makes me fit in perfectly in OK.

My goal is to make sure my students walk out of my class not only learning Spanish, but skills, that they can apply to their everyday lives. I look forward to getting to know each of my students and having a productive and fun year.
