Guthrie Fall Homecoming 2017
All around the world… You’ll always find your way back home.
Homecoming is October 6, 2017. The Guthrie Bluejays will be playing the Northwest Classen Knights at Jelsma Stadium with a kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. The annual coronation and crowning of the queen will take place during halftime of the football game.
Schedule of Events on October 6:
8:15 - 8:55 a.m. Alumni Registration at the H.S. (coffee, donuts, reunion class shirts)
9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Alumni Program at the H.S.
(Performances by the GHS Band, Choir, Pied Pipers, Drama Club, Cheerleaders, and presentation of football/organizational royalty and new Hall of Fame inductees.)
12:00 p.m. Student Assembly at H.S.
1:10 p.m. District-wide early dismissal; buses will run at this time.
1:45 p.m. Parade line-up
2:30 p.m. Parade Begins
Due to other events in town on October 6, the parade route has been modified. The parade will start at Harrison and Wentz. Travel route is west on Harrison, north on 2nd Street, and then east on Oklahoma to Capitol.
Floats and other entries will line up on Harrison going east. Some of the side streets (Wentz, Broad, Ash) will be used as additional line-up spots.
7:00 p.m. Kick-off at Jelsma Stadium with Tailgating beginning at 5:30 p.m.
