Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) T. Kyle Brede is the Senior Army Instructor. He is in his 3d year at GHS after serving 30 years in the Army as both an enlisted soldier, officer and Army Aviator. LTC Brede served as the Professor of Military Science at the University of Oklahoma prior to retiring from active duty in 2018. He then spent two years as a commercial airline pilot with United Express. He has an MA in Educational Administration from the University of Louisville, an MA in International Relations from Webster University and a BA in Political Science and History from Tarleton State University. He is married with three sons. His hobbies are road biking, hiking, golf, and fishing.

LTC Brede instructs classes in all LET levels (Freshman through Juniors) and is the primary instructor for LET 4 (Senior) Cadets.  He also coaches the Physical Fitness (PT), Robotics and Rifle Teams for JROTC.  Team practices: PT M-W-F at 0730, Robotic is part of competition class (6th Hour) and Rifle Team is part of the competition class (7th Hour).
